Growing up in Tampa's vibrant soccer community, they honed their skills on local fields and rose through the ranks to excel at competitive levels. With years of playing and coaching experience, along with a deep understanding of the game, they are dedicated to passing on their knowledge and love for soccer to the next generation of female athletes. Together, both women bring over ten years of combined training and coaching experience. Their unique blend of local roots and professional expertise makes them the perfect mentors to guide you on your soccer journey.

Now back home, both coaches shared the goal of starting a female exclusive indoor soccer training and performance facility. Ready to make a splash in Tampa, the pair launched, NXT LVL Female Soccer Training. They both  hope that all girls and women that join NXT LVL Female Soccer Training build the confidence they deserve and achieve their aspirations. 

Jessica Sweat, Co-Founder & Head Field Trainer

Florida native, Coach Jessica had a very diverse youth soccer career, with some of her earliest playing memories on all boys' teams throughout the Tampa/St. Pete area. When she transitioned to a higher level of play, she was able to join Tampa Bay United and the Clearwater Charges at various league levels including ECNL. She's competed in many high-level tournaments and showcases across the nation, aiding her club team to victories with the combination of her speed, technicality, and goal scoring abilities. Coach Jessica also attended St. Petersburg High School, where she dominated as a forward on their girl's varsity team. During her time there, she went on to earn many accolades, awards, and broke school records. 

Unfortunately Coach Jessica tore her ACL junior year of high school at a college showcase. Devastated by this new reality, she was still determined to play collegiate soccer and dedicated each day for the next six months to an intensive recovery program. After months of therapy and strength training, she was able compete in her first game seven months post operation. She became a smarter and stronger player, still able to catch the attention of many college scouts through the Division I and II levels. With her youth career coming to an end, she was recruited to play for the University of West Georgia under Head Coach, Stacey Balaam - Vanderbilt University's Women's Soccer current Assistant Coach. 

After her playing career came to an end, Coach Jessica entered the personal training and fitness industry. She obtained her personal training certification through the American Council on Exercise and gained hands-on experience in strength training, sports performance, injury prevention, and corrective exercise. While growing her experience within the health and fitness industry, she was able to join a physical therapy clinic as an Exercise Specialist. Her role allowed her the opportunity to work with a number of diverse patient population seeking rehabilitative care and preventative therapy. Her dedication to safe and ethical training practices, is the driving force of success of players throughout her coaching career. Since then, Coach Jessica became licensed through U.S Soccer, maintains her personal training certifications, and has served as a field trainer, club coach, and mentor for female athletes throughout Florida. 

 

Karinna Williams, Co-Founder & Head Goalkeeping Trainer

Originally from Long Island, New York, Coach Karinna moved down to Tampa, Florida in 2005 with her parents. With soccer embedded in her cultural roots, she began playing soccer at the age of six with boys. As she began to excel and outperform, her parents made the decision to transition her to an all girl's competitive team. Coach Karinna began her competitive youth career at Tampa Bay United. She played as a midfielder up until she reached high school, where she took the leap of faith and became a goalkeeper for Steinbrenner High school's Girl's Varsity Team. She was a natural and many opportunities presented themselves to her once she demonstrated her abilities in goal. As a goalkeeper, Coach Karinna experienced great success and many opportunities to compete in nationwide tournaments and showcases. While on Steinbrenner High School's girl's soccer team, she started matches all four years, served as a captain her junior and senior years, and caught the attention of Hillsborough County by earning accolades and awards. As her youth career came to an end, she graduated high school early and went on to play for the University of South Florida under Head Coach, Denise Schilte-Brown - Tampa Bay Sun FC's first and current Head Coach. 

After devoting her time as a student athlete, Coach Karinna entered the personal training and fitness industry. She obtained her personal training certification and gained experience in strength training, sports performance, injury prevention, weight loss management, and program designing. While serving as a personal trainer, Coach Karinna was a goalkeeper coach for local clubs, her high school alma-mater, and worked alongside figures in the community to train elite level keepers who have gone on to play at various levels. Coach Karinna felt the desire to give back to the female soccer community and make a lasting impact. She obtained her coaching license through U.S. Soccer Learning Center and dedicated her time to a group of female soccer players, serving as a keeper trainer and coach for various teams. Utilizing her experiences, knowledge, and resources, she has been able to elevate players' technical, tactical, and overall athletic abilities, while successfully guiding them through the recruitment process.
